TwistedBrush - программа для художников. Она имеет большое количество самых разнообразных инструментов для рисования, от красок до мелков и карандашей. Эта программа глубоко поражает буквально с первого запуска. Интерфейсом Twisted-Brush мало похож на другие редакторы, хотя и предоставляет все необходимые возможности: работа с буфером обмена, зуминг и, конечно же, рисование.
Причем рисующий инструмент только один — кисточка, зато количество (более 3000 штук!!!) и качество пресетов для рисования, а также многообразие форм и регулируемость размеров и цветовой гаммы позволяют человеку, не особо одаренному художественными талантами, буквально за пару минут изобразить то, что — возможно, более аккуратно и качественно, конечно — профессионал, работающий в другом редакторе, рисовал бы, наверное, не один час.

Имеется полноценная эмуляция взаимодействия красок на холсте в зависимости от состава краски (масло, акварель, карандаш). Вы можете выбрать из более чем 3000 кистей - от самых обычных до таких экзотических, как "трава", "звёзды" и т.д. Именно благодаря этому с TwistedBrush вы сможете нарисовать довольно высокого качества картины, пейзажи и многое другое, причем вам не нужно тратить несколько дней на все это, буквально пару часов и перед вами рисунок сделанный на высоком уровне.

Вы можете смешивать краски, применять распылители, а также рисовать эскизы. Эти функциями можно нарисовать почти что угодно. Также к готовым изображениям можно применять эффекты: их всего только несколько десятков, что также немало, хотя в этом TwistedBrush, безо всяких сомнений, уступает легендарному Photoshop. Отличия и состоит в том, что ключевое назначение последнего программного обеспечения - обработка изображений, в то время когда в программе TwistedBrush сделан акцент на простоту даже для начинающего кибер-художника, однако сильное по своим способностям для их создание. Сам процесс рисования сведен к манипуляции разными кисточками, дающими возможность как изобразить конкретные инструменты рисования: кисти художника, карандаши и т.д., так и сделать малые эффекты, как-то: ветер, огонь, вода, туман, дым, и даже сотворить кое-какие 3D объекты с тенями и футуристическими фракталами. Несмотря на существенно меньшее, чем, например, в Фотошопе, количество визуальных эффектов, TwistedBrush также дает возможность проявить свою фантазию. К примеру, доступны эффекты: такие как "вода", "ветер", "огонь", "туман", "дым"; имеется функция смешивания масляных красок, применение распылителя, рисование эскизов и даже создание 3D объектов.

Поддерживается большинство популярных графических форматов, включая JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, TGA, PCX, PSD, BMP, PCD, WMF и EMF.

Improved - Up to 256 layers can now be created. This is increased from the previous maximum of 32 layers.

Changed - Hot keys for changing pages in a book are now Page Up and Page Down keys instead of the Left and Right arrow keys.

Removed - The Unmask Grid Cell tool has been removed.
Removed - The menu Mask > Mask Filter has been removed since it is now easier and more powerful to use the special Mask Edit layer.
Removed - The menu Layer > Set Scratch Layer has been remove. The scratch layer will always be at layer position 31.
Removed - Removed the hot keys Up and Down arrows for changing books. It was too easy to accidentally press these.

Fixed - The Quick Command panel was not always properly sized.
Fixed - The Move tool was not working correctly when ESC was used to cancel the Move action.
Fixed - Don't remove the Scratch Layer when flattening a page.
